Landscapes

Toler’s landscapes fill our senses with nature, adventure and exploration. Toler uses brilliant colors and moody compositions, pulling the viewer inward and then outward to view a new perspective, reinforcing a sense of closeness and warmth. Because Toler’s landscapes are open, vibrant and expressive they teach and instruct the viewer by telling a story — exposing our vulnerabilities and strengths. Toler’s work reveals the many layers of development that help tell our environmental stories, exposing the “under layers” of interpersonal and intimate organization and connection – or perhaps illuminating disparate conflicts. Toler’s landscapes invite the viewer to reassess ideals of time, space and place.
